Greeting:
Priest:
In
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

The

fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
All:
And also with you.
Priest:
I’d like
to welcome you to this moment of grace in Kathleen and David’
life. Your love and friendship has helped bring them to this hour,
so they wanted you to be here to share it with them. Thanks for
being here.
There are others who could not be here, separated from us either by
space or by time. In a deeply spiritual way, they are with us too.
Please remember them as we pray together this afternoon
And now, let us pray…

LITURGY OF THE WORD
First Reading:
Song of Songs 2:8-10.14,16; 8:6-7
This is a
reading from the Song of Songs:
…for lo,
the winter is past
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth,
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth its figs,
And the vines are in blossom;
They give forth fragrance.
Arise, my love, my fair one,
and come away.
Let me see you,
let me hear your voice,
For your voice is sweet,
and you are lovely.
Set
me as a seal on your heart,
as a seal on your arm;
For stern as
death is love,
relentless as
the nether world is devotion;
its flames are a blazing fire.
Deep waters
cannot quench love,
nor floods sweep
it away.
Reader:
The
Word of the Lord.
All:
Thanks be to God!
Responsorial Psalm:
O Perfect Love
O perfect Love,
all human thought transcending,
Lowly
we kneel in prayer before Thy throne,
That
theirs may be the love which knows no ending,
Whom
Thou forevermore dost join in one.
O perfect Life, be Thou their full assurance,
Of
tender charity and steadfast faith,
Of
patient hope and quiet, brave endurance,
With
childlike trust that fears nor pain nor death.
Grant them the joy which brightens earthly
sorrow;
Grant
them the peace which calms all earthly strife,
And
to life’s day the glorious unknown morrow
That
dawns upon eternal love and life.
Second
Reading Colossians 3: 12-17
As God's chosen
ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another
and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other;
just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above
all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together
in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your
hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be
thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and
admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your
hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. And whatever
you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

RITE OF MARRIAGE
Exchange of Vows

express this profound love that you have for each other. Please
repeat after me…
David:
I,
David Hatterbrun, take you, Kathleen Cronin to be my wife. I
promise to love you, comfort you, honor and keep you, in sickness
and in health; forsaking all others, to be faithful to you as long
